What is HealthEx?
When you connect your health records to an AI tool through HealthEx, you unlock things like:
Getting a plain-language summary of your medical history
Understanding your lab results and what they might mean
Preparing questions before an upcoming appointment
Getting guidance on how your health data might inform your daily routine
Before you begin
To connect your health records, you'll need:
AI tool account
You'll start the process from within the tool you want to connect to.
HealthEx account
If you don't have one yet, you'll create one as part of the setup process.
Government ID
You can optionally use CLEAR to locate your records and speed up the process.
Portal logins
You may be asked to log into your provider's patient portal to retrieve records.
How it works
The connection process starts from inside the AI tool you're using. Each app or chatbot has its own way of initiating this. Look for options like "Connect health records," "Add health data," or similar in your tool’s settings or onboarding.

Keeping your records up-to-date
HealthEx retrieves your records at a point in time. If you've had new appointments, test results, or added a new provider, you'll want to refresh your data.
To update your records:

Log in to your HealthEx account at app.healthex.io

Find the AI tool you’re connected to and click “Get most recent records”

Automatically find your new records or add new healthcare providers if needed
Managing your data and consent
You're in control of your data at all times. From your HealthEx account, you can:
Disconnect a specific AI assistant, chatbot, or app
If you want to stop sharing your health data with a particular AI tool, you can withdraw your consent without affecting your HealthEx account or any other connections. Your data will no longer be accessible to that tool. To manage your connections, log in at app.healthex.io.
Delete your HealthEx account
If you want to remove all your data from HealthEx entirely, you can delete your account. This removes your health records from HealthEx and disconnects all AI tools at once.
